The Colca Canyon tour will take you through high Andean plateaus, reaching at one point a high pass of 4800 meters, which offers fine views of the Volcanoes of Arequipa. Along the way visitors can see herds of Vicuñas (a wild relative of Llamas and Alpacas) and various types of birds, of which stand out the giant hummingbird, eagles, gooses and the mighty Andean Condor.

As the 2-day trekking experience is in a small group with a maximum of 5 people the tour will be very flexible. It allows you to determine the speed during the hike or you can take some great pictures wherever you want. The service is also a superior one, as it is a customised tour and not in a big backpackergroup. For those with less hiking experience, you could take another route to descend into the canyon. The hike is a bit steeper, but it is a shorter route. You may hike directly to the oasis where you can spend the afternoon relaxing at the swimming pool.
