Guests wanting adventure can choose the short optional hike to Devil’s Courthouse for panoramic views. Descending into Cherokee, we’ll visit the Oconaluftee Visitor Center, where elk are often spotted, and continue to beautiful Mingo Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the Southern Appalachians. We’ll also make scenic photo stops, including a charming mountain suspension bridge, before returning to Asheville through stunning mountain landscapes. As this is a private tour, the day is flexible and tailored to your group while we handle the driving.

We pick you up at your hotel or lodging! A seasoned local guide will pick you up at your accommodation within 3 miles of city center (One North Pack Square) or will meet you at the Asheville Visitor Center if you are staying outside that distance. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way to visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks. We provide comfortable seating in a climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included. IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. The tour is not suitable for children under 12. We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.
