Next, drive to Rabad Castle (Ajloun Castle), where you'll visit the Islamic military fortress of Ajloun, once used by Saladin's armies to defend the region against the Crusaders. Afterwards, begin a one-hour drive to the Dead Sea. As the lowest point on Earth, filled with minerals with medicinal properties, it has become a popular health spa destination. The mineral-rich mud is used for therapeutic and beauty treatments. Queen Cleopatra and Sheba are said to have known its value and used it.
